Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #20

(for those waiting for the next installment of the book, please be patient, I took tonight off to craft - my first creative love - and will return with more adventure tomorrow. Thanks again for your comments and time, that really means a lot to me - or as the Cake Boss says "It means the World to me!!"

Challenge Time!!!!!

Wow, week 20 in the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge over at Studio L3!!! Can't believe there have already been this many techniques learned. I didn't get to start at the beginning, but have really been doing my best to keep up. Not doing too badly either lol anyways...

This week it is Industrial Grunge, please open your Compendium of Curiosities (which can be purchased, autographed, here) to page 54, where you'll find Tim's instructions for his cool Industrial Grunge technique!

This is another one that I have never tried before, but really like how it turned out. I used the technique on the 'hardware' on this little book.

The book itself is made up of two small stretched artist canvases..painted with blue acrylic and inked with purple, light green and med green pigment inks.

Then I used a couple of Tim's stamps and two of his masks to decorate the front. One stamp didn't work so well so I stamped it again on cardstock then tore it and distressed it with vintage photo and antique linen and placed it over that image, allowing part of the first stamp to show.

I wrapped some ribbon around the front cover, added the ticket and the key and a flower that I just happened to have hanging around for a month or so, and there it is!

I will be entering this into three challenges this week.

This is such a great design. I love the way you used the hinges, and that flower is FABULOUS! The blue and copper combo is one of my very favorites.
