Compendium of Curosities Challenge, Week 18

We are officially halfway through the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge Series! Hard to believe I know, but it is true! Now, though, it's time for Challenge #18!

So, please open your Compendium of Curiosities to page 37, where you'll find Tim's instructions for his fun (and kind of magical!) Dabber Resist Technique!

I am a little short on time this close to holidays (HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!!!) so I decided to do a card front. Tried it SIX times with white, didn't work, mud, so decided that black was the color of choice and that worked out great!

I used TH stamps and tape and DI fired brick, faded jeans & peeled paint. I used a gear and game pointer and hammered the brad. The Ticket was stamped with a $ stamp from Michaels with a home made pin.

And that's all folks! lol

Your card front is great!! I do see your white umbrella a little.. the resist with white does show up better if you are using darker colors over it.

Great card! I think that quite a few of us had issues with the technique, I also changed from white to black and it worked better.

This looks awesome! I love the colors together! I have found that my Pearl dabber works better than the snowcap for some reason. I remembered that from making the Christmas tags so try that next time.

LOVE it, Yelowflower! That background is stunning, and the black dabber resist worked beautifully! The way you arranged the stamped images is brilliant-- the umbrella man seems to be walking on a magical pathway, and the ticket compliments the design perfectly.

You are ROCKING these techniques every single week!

A wonderful card and the resist looks superb with black! I agree using white for this technique isn't easy :). Have a great weekend!

Your card is lovely. I like the way you used three different stamp colors on it. Can you believe these challenges are already halfway over? We are going to be so sad when it's done. Wonder what she'll come up with next?
