Compendium of Curiosities Challenges # 27
Distress Misting Mask
here is a direct quote from Linda's blog, Studio L3...
Happy Monday, and happy 27th installment of this celebration of Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities! Holy cow, it's hard to believe there are only nine more challenges to go before we've worked our way through every technique in the book. Thank you so much for being part of this project. I hope you're having as much fun as I am!
Please open your Compendium to page 60, where you'll find Tim's instructions for Distress Misting Masks, and let's get started. If you're new to this series and don't have the book, you can get a copy from the man himself by visiting Tim's website.
this is also for Simon Says Stamp and Show as well as All Things Tim
Once again, sliding in close to the last minute. And with a pretty skimpy project. We went to a 'garage sale' today put on by a local scrapbook store, and I bought some stamps that are used to make a box and an envelope, so I had to use those for this challenge. Not too pleased with them, but gonna use them anyways.
There are two items here, one a box
the other an envelope,
I used some mists I had mixed quite some time ago so it's anybodys guess the colors I used. I know they look kewl tho. I did use Tim masks and his Umbrella man stamp tho. The 'window' of each was embossed with a Tim texture fade, altho you really can't see it. There are masks on the back of both, but these are enough pics, I think
Anyways, thanks to all the wonderful people who make these challenges possible. I have a great time learning all these techniques and seeing eveything that others are making too.

Holy cow!!! You did an awesome piece and the masking is so cool. Mr. Umbrella is going to be a die cut, but you probably know that! I love both, so I am so glad you used them! Have a great evening!
These look so amazing - what a great find you had.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a lovely comment.
luv and hugs {brenda} xoxox
I love your masking and use of colour, lovely pieces both. Is that a metal flower?
Yelowflower, both these projects are spectacular! I love how you incorporated the masking into the frame for my favorite stamped guy, and for the envelope that surrounds the lovely flower. What a great way to add dimension to our projects, and these look like something you'd find in a cool crafters' gallery! Well done!
BEAUTIFUL. I'm giving away a Cricut Cartridge on my blog this week! Come on by and check it out! TFS. Bug Hugs :D
